Entry: It was with a great sense of loss when my Dad (Bill Topping, Jr.) shared with me Aunt Midge's death. I wanted to let you know that you have my greatest sympathy, and my heart is truly saddened. Aunt Midge was a wonderful person; she was always so kind and considerate to me, and we kept in touch 3 to 4 times a year. We know that her passing will not only leave a void in our lives, but in the hearts of all those who knew her. Aunt Midge will always remain within our hearts. May God give everyone strength during this sad time. My sincere thoughts and prayers are with you. With deepest sympathy, Michael G. Topping, Sr. Lieutenant Commander, U.S. Navy

Entry: February 21, 2010 At 74 years of age Aunt Midge has always been here, and was instrumental in my life. As a preschooler and into grammar school she helped to raise me. I loved and respected her. She was a very important person to my life and memory of her will never fade away. I'm looking forward to seeing her again one day, along with Aunt Opal, Aunt Kate, Uncle Elmer, and especiall my Dad Bill Sr. whom I loved with all of my heart and have missed tremendously through the years. I'm old enough to remember my grandfather, Emmit; Uncles Charley and Bill, and all of their familes. It will be a great reunion on that day. To the Poland family, I apologize that I have always lived "so far away" and did not have the opportunity to spend time with you and your familes. However, you are very important family members to me. I endeavored to talk with Aunt Midge a couple of times per month and kept her upto date on my family as she kept me upto date on the Poland family. I spoke to her maybe three weeks ago while in the rehab home. I don't know for sure that she knew who she was talking to. I had been in prayer for her from the time I was notified of her condition. Again, to the Poland family, may the Lord richly bless and keep you during these days. The Bible teaches us that the Best Time is Yet To Come. Praise the Lord. I love you family and I am looking forward to seeing each of you out here some time. Bill Jr.
