Steven R. Massey
Steven R. Massey, age 52, of Toledo, passed away Sunday, February 28, 2010 at his residence. He was born May 26, 1957 in Toledo, to Robert and Loretta (Gunn) Massey.
Steve was a proud member of Sprinklerfitters Local 669. He enjoyed woodworking, watching NASCAR (especially Mark Martin) and working in his garage.
He is survived by his wife Fran, his father, sister, Cathy, four daughters: Blaire, Tiffany, Taylor and Sydni; step-children: Cristel and Jessika and five grandchildren. Also surviving are nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother and grandparents.
Cremation Society of Toledo assisted the family with arrangements. Online condolences may be shared below:
The bells are about to rock in memory of Steve Massey on March 6, 2010 at Bill's Bar & Grill. We come to salute his life from 12 noon until 10:00 pm.

Entry: Bob, Cathy and Family, I just today (3-23-10) saw in the Blade about Steve's death. Having lived next door on National for many years, I can still picture his cute little impish face as a child. I remember Bob and Loretta laughing when "Stevie" and his friends would knock on our door at dusk and ask Henry and I to come outside and play "Hide & Seek" with them -- and we did! It doesn't seem possibe that both Loretta and Steve are gone. Please be assured of our thoughts and prayers for all of you during this most difficult time.

Entry: My Aunt Loretta was 10 when I was born. Therefore, I remember her wedding to Bob, the kids being born and saw them EVERY holiday when growing up. Steve was always such a cute little kid growing up with a perpetual smile. When his own daughters came along, it was obvious he adored them. It's hard to believe he's gone at such a young age. Our condolences to Uncle Bob, Kathy and to Steve's wife Fran and their children and grandchildren.
